Second cut file

On most axes this file removes material more efficiently than the bastard file and is therefore better suited for modifying their edge. It is also suitable for Rinaldi axes, which seem to be a little harder than most axes of other manufacturers. This file is smooth on one of the short sides.

A file cuts only as it moves forward and should not be used in a back-and-forth motion, but rather by pushing forward and then lifting it from the tool each time.

To protect your hand and work efficiently, the file is meant to be used with a handle, which is sold separately.
