We take our time to test every item in our shop before adding it to our range, and we only sell tools we're truly enthusiastic about because they're so effective and enjoyable. We actually use these tools ourselves.
Each blade is supplied with a plastic protective strip and a wooden wedge is supplied free of charge if the tang angle requires it.
We adjust the blade's tang angle if necessary.
We grind and polish the face of hammers and anvils so they are ready for use.
A document with tips for using and maintaining the scythe is provided with each order of scything equipment (mowing technique, blade and snath maintenance, peening, honing).
Like many techniques, mowing and maintaining the blade are skills that are not easily improvised. We strongly recommend participating in a scything course with a qualified instructor to learn the correct techniques for comfortable and efficient mowing, and for peening and honing the blade correctly. Courses are announced throughout the year;
