Biber Classic "S" 1200g axe with leather sheath
Approximate dimensions: cutting edge 13cm, head length 19,5cm, total handle length 70cm.
A forest axe from the premium Classic "S" range by Müller, traditionally forged from high-quality steel in Austria. It is well suited for felling trees up to about 30cm in diameter, as well as for limbing. The head is of a classic Germanic design, with a wide cutting edge and a rough forged finish. The edge requires a little more work than the 1000g version to be optimal. The handle is hickory and although it is thinner than that of the Canada model, it will still benefit from being trimmed down a little for greater comfort in use, as is typical for new Anglo-Germanic axe handles. The axe can however be used as is. We provide instructions for modifying the handle and the cutting edge.
Müller is a family-run company founded in 1675. The tools are forged in the traditional way and are of exceptional quality. Müller is also committed to limiting its environmental impact: most raw materials come from regional suppliers and the forge produces its energy using its own hydroelectric power plant.
