Biber Canada 1000g axe without sheath
Approximate dimensions: cutting edge 12cm, head length 18cm, total handle length 70cm.
This forest axe is traditionally forged at Müller in Austria. It is well suited for felling trees up to about 30cm in diameter, as well as for limbing. The steel is of high quality and the Canadian inspired head profile is a very efficient design. The axe bites well and releases easily. The edge geometry is already good as is and does not require much work to be optimal. The handle is ash and, as is common today with Anglo-German type axes, it benefits from being trimmed down a little for greater comfort in use, although it can be used as is. We provide instructions for modifying the handle and the cutting edge.
Very good value for money.
Müller is a family-run company founded in 1675. The tools are forged in the traditional way and are of exceptional quality. Müller is also committed to limiting its environmental impact: most raw materials come from regional suppliers and the forge produces its energy using its own hydroelectric power plant.
