2001 55cm bush blade
+/-675g
This blade is the heaviest in our catalog. Very robust and resistant, it is used for mowing tough and thick stems. Even for this heavier work, a slicing motion should be used rather than hacking. For this purpose, the edge must not be peened; honing with an artificial stone is sufficient. The bush blade is not peened, but simply honed with an artificial whetstone such as the Silicar or the Styria. Indeed, the artificial whetstone is more effective on the thicker edge of an unpeened blade. As with grass blades, the whetstone is carried on the belt in a water-filled whetstone holder. Adding a small dash of vinegar helps keep the artificial whetstone clean and functional.
Each blade is supplied with a plastic protective strip. A wooden wedge is supplied free of charge if the tang angle requires it.
